I was searching for ideas for a post and came across a 30 day challenge. Now, some of the days required posting pictures of The Queen, The Pirate Redbeard, Buttercup and Friends of the Queen. This is not going to happen. I like the pseudo-anonymity of some of you thinking you know who I am but not being 100% sure…. also- Royalty likes privacy.

So- I am going to just pick and choose for the challenge- Queen’s prerogative.

Today’s challenge was to put my iPod on shuffle and list the first 10 songs that came up:

1. Sin Wagon by The Dixie Chicks– Now, I don’t care what their politics are, I just like the sounds of their voices and find this song especially entertaining. (“That’s right, I said mattress dancing!”)

2. Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield– I just LOVE this song. I was thrilled when it came up on my list- I have a secret about this song- but probably shouldn’t share here!

 3. Rolling in the Deep by Adele– I know it got over played on the radio (and everywhere else) for some time- but her voice touches me…

4. One Week by The Barenaked Ladies– ‘old school”- I used to be able to sing all the words too!

5. Until the Whole World Sings by Casting Crowns– I do listen to a lot of worship music.  It calms me when that’s what I need and uplifts me when that’s what I need!

6.Get Up Stand Up by Bob Marley– I think Redbeard must have put this one on there! I like it ok but don’t remember adding it!

7. Duet for Cello and Bass by Edgar Mayer and Yo Yo Ma– I love love love me some Yo Yo Ma- This music is my favorite to listen to when I am cooking. Some how the music makes the food better!

8. Fit for a King by Garth Brooks– Not one of his most popular but I think it show cases his voice really well

9. Here I am to Worship by Jeremy Camp– Oh this song just makes me sing as loud as I can!

10. Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey – This is one of my all time favorites. I saw them in concert when I was in 9th grade and am a huge fan still!

So- There you have it, a peek into the iPod of the Queen!

By the way, there is Queen on my iPod, it just didn’t show up in the first 10- Fat Bottom Girls is my favorite!

Rule #90- Turn your music up and sing!!!!!
